At least the Tek says they do. Not all planets in this area are open to non-Tek. They are classified as human. They have never been seen to smile by anyone not a Tek. Many wear face masks when around non-Tek.

The Tek embrace technology. An unknown number have voluntarily become cyberized like some of the main characters in the Anime ‘Ghost in the Shell’.

Their area is almost triangular; Columns L through R, and Sectors 1 through 5.
